Seeking a Senior Level Fire Protection/Plumbing/Mechanical estimator to supplement our in-house estimating team on a 1099 contractual basis.
Our work includes current contracts with local airport authorities, local and national public-school systems, national large-scale municipal and high-profile projects.
Complete takeoffs and provide complete estimate for jobs.
Provide consultative guidance on constructability, schedule, phasing, and staffing.
Analyze project program, design, costs, and subcontractor input and provide comparisons, cost savings, value engineering options, and other recommendations.
Prepare or assist with the preparation of bid/proposal packages.
Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
7-10 years of estimating in a variety of commercial projects (Airport Authority & Airport air-side/land-side Fire Protection, Plumbing, & Mechanical estimating emphasis preferred).
Must have strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Must be familiar with using Timberline & MS Excel software to be efficient in bidding.
Must be familiar with performing detailed takeoffs to generate labor quantities.
Must be comfortable understanding drawings.
Must have good communication and interpersonal qualities.
Must be able to work as a team and foster confidence in the estimates produced.
Computer skills in Excel, Word, and e-mail.
Ability to estimate jobs in the 1M-200M range proficiently.
