MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Entry or Junior Level Scheduler to support our 7+year/$1.5b MWH-Webcor joint venture construction project in San Francisco, CA.
This project is very unique in that it involves a new, cutting edge technology in the US wastewater market called Thermal Hydrolysis. This process has the following sustainability benefits:
- About half the digestive volume is needed compared to conventional anaerobic digestion, therefore a smaller treatment plant footprint.
• The process converts biosolids from Class B into Class A which can then be used for land fertilization.
• The biogas byproduct can be used as a renewable energy source to provide power to the plant.
When completed, this will be one of only a handful of Thermal Hydrolysis wastewater treatment plants in operation in the entire U.S.
Essential Functions
This position is a support role to the Scheduling Manager, supporting in the following aspects of construction scheduling:
- Collect information used to plan and schedule a construction project from the project team.
- Prepares plans and schedules for small and routine projects.
- Assist in development of accurate schedules using industry best practices and insight from the Scheduling Manager and project team members.
- Update project schedules in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices. Communicate results to the Scheduling Manager.
- Manage project changes and review for possible impacts with the Scheduling Manager.
- Review project schedules for compliance with company procedures, contract requirements and industry best practices. Recommend corrective actions to the Scheduling Manager where necessary.
- Assist in preparation of monthly schedule reports for projects and review with Scheduling Manager.
- Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.

Basic Qualifications
- Four-year degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training.
- 1-3 years of project scheduling experience covering development of small and routine schedules, schedule updating and review of progress.
- Knowledge of general construction practices and understanding of sequencing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other normal business applications.
- Knowledgeable in Primavera scheduling/project management software (version 6 and above).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project planning experience
- Working knowledge of other scheduling software (MS Project, Asta, NetPoint, etc.)
