Want to play a key role in the development and implementation of Metro’s critical infrastructure projects? Metro's Office of Infrastructure is seeking several experienced Senior Cost Specialists to work within the newly developed and highly collaborative Project Controls department. These positions will play integral roles across the agency by assisting with determining funding needs and managing project costs from project inception to closeout. - Construction Contract Cost Lead
- Change Order Cost Lead
The ideal candidates will have experience in conceptual (rough order of magnitude) and detailed estimating of construction projects with a demonstrated ability to work in a diverse organization of internal and external stakeholders. They would also have a desire to focus on cost from an overall owner perspective, ability to lead initiatives tied to their perspective development phases, and knowledge of Federal estimating requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction, or related field.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of engineering cost estimating experience will be considered.
Experience
- Ten (10) years demonstrated cost estimating experience with experience in 3 or more of the following areas: project management, project development, site engineering, value engineering, constructability reviews, project scheduling, project phasing, construction project negotiations and/or proposal review.
Certification/Licensure
- Possession of a valid District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia Motor Vehicle operator’s license from jurisdiction of residence.
Preferred
- Technical experience in the transit or rail industry
- Certifications and Licensures related to industry are not required, but are preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Cost Consultant / Certified Cost Engineer (CCC/CCE)
- Other Industry Related Certifications and Licensures
